Georgia's tourism industry has brought in record amounts of money this year. Levan Davitashvili, the nation's minister of economy and sustainable development, said in an interview that more people will travel to the country. Tbilisi Times’ correspondent Khanlar Mehdiyev, wandered around the city photographed tourists, and discovered that the city receives a plethora of tourists even in the winter.
Davitashvili said that this year's tourism industry will bring in over $4 billion in revenue and more than six million people are expected to visit. Davitashvili said everything is being done to support the tourism industry's dynamic development and they are desiring more vacationers to visit the city.
